Alessandro Zagato is our storyteller, he brings to the forefront the lived experiences from the students and families Escalera works for. He holds a PhD in Sociology from Maynooth University, Ireland and is the author of “After the Pink Tide. Corporate State Formation and New Egalitarianisms in Latin America” and “The Event of Charlie Hebdo: Imaginaries of Freedom and Control”, among several other publications. Alessandro lives in San Cristóbal de Las Casas where he also runs a residency program for international artists and researchers.
